Technical-breakdown of CuraDAO
CuraDAO aims to empower any individual or organization to contribute to social development projects by curating high impact projects and providing resources and support to execute these plans. In order to facilitate these interactions, CuraDAO aims to be as inclusive as possible, have good governance in place and make it extremely easy to request and receive resources.
The CuraDAO uses Blockchain Technology to create a secure, honest and efficient organizations.
CuraDAO is built using the Alchemy DAPP, which is a resource-allocation application created by DAOstack. Alchemy is an open-source application that runs on top of the Ethereum network, the second largest and most secure Blockchain Network.
Alchemy has a couple of functions that allow for the effective and honest allocation of funds such as voting based on contribution and transparent financial transactions. More about what CuraDAO and Alchemy stand for can be found on the About page.
The blockchain allows for the creation of a fund that is connected to the worldwide ecosystem of cryptocurrencies, meaning anybody, from anywhere in the world can interact with the CuraDAO in seconds. A donation from for example The Netherlands the CuraDAO would take around 10 seconds!
Blockchain also allows multiple stakeholders to vote in a secure way. In the CuraDAO each member is rewarded with voting power according to their contribution to the CuraDAO. Decisions are only passed if an absolute majority of the voters vote for.
Another big benefit is the fact that the CuraDAO is completely transparent, meaning all transactions and proposals are viewable by everybody. This improves accountability, accessibility and makes nepotism nearly impossible.
Combining this all together we get CuraDAO, a social impact fund that is managed collectively by all contributors.
